The short version

  • Arkin runs on your iPhone. There is no Arkin server and no Arkin account.
  • Your calendar, email, reminders and location go from Google or Apple to your iPhone and stay there. We never receive them.
  • Arkin never sells data, never shows ads, and has no analytics or tracking in the app.
  • Delete the app and everything Arkin knew about you is gone.

Who we are

Arkin is made by Good Future Studio (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Arkin iPhone app, its widgets and Live Activities, and this website, arkin.ai. Questions go to privacy@arkin.ai.

What the app reads, and where it goes

Arkin reads only what you connect or allow. Everything below is processed on your iPhone. None of it is sent to us.

Google Calendar eventsTo know what’s on your day and notice when plans move.Google to your iPhone. Stays on your iPhone.

Voice and photos you choose to give ArkinSo you can talk to Arkin, or snap a ticket or booking.Turned into text on your iPhone. Never uploaded.

Google access

If you connect Google, Arkin asks for read access to your calendar and Gmail, and permission to update calendar events. It changes your calendar only when you tap to do so, for example to add an event or reply to an invitation, or, if you’ve said Arkin may, to hold time for a rhythm you set up, which it tells you about and you can undo. Arkin requests this data directly from Google’s servers to your iPhone. It does not pass through us.

Arkin’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, Arkin does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell it, does not transfer it to anyone, does not use it to train AI models, and no person at Good Future Studio reads it.

You can remove Arkin’s access at any time from the third-party connections page in your Google Account.

Sign in with Apple

If you continue with Apple, Apple gives the app an identifier for you. Arkin keeps it on your iPhone. We don’t run a server, so we don’t store it.

The language model

Arkin writes your briefings with the language model built into iOS, which runs on your iPhone. Your data is not sent to an AI provider.

Services Arkin uses that have their own policies

What the app never does

The website and waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address so we can tell you when the beta opens. It’s stored with Cloudflare, who host this site. We use it for nothing else, and we don’t share it with anyone. Ask us to delete it at any time by writing to privacy@arkin.ai.

Like any website, Cloudflare, who host arkin.ai, process basic request information such as IP addresses to serve pages and stop abuse. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, doesn’t fingerprint your device and doesn’t follow you across other sites. This site sets no cookies.

Keeping and deleting data

The app keeps what it learns on your iPhone, in its own storage, protected by iOS. Deleting the app deletes it. If you use iCloud or iTunes backups, your iPhone’s backup may include Arkin’s data, under Apple’s backup terms.

Children

Arkin is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Canada’s PIPEDA, the GDPR and California law, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold. In practice, the only personal information we hold is a waitlist email address, if you gave us one. Write to privacy@arkin.ai and we’ll answer within 30 days.

Changes

If Arkin starts reading anything new, or anything changes about where data goes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change ships, and tell you in the app.
